If you didn’t pre-order the iPhone 5 when the pre-order page went live, your next best bet may be to camp out before Friday, as pre-order estimates have slipped to two weeks. This includes the U.S, U.L, Canada, Germany, and Australia. This means users may not receive their iPhones until two weeks after the official launch on September 21.
This happened within a couple of hours of the pre-order page going live. By comparison, last year when the iPhone 4S pre-orders went up, it took nearly 22 hours to sell out of pre-order launch day stock. At the moment of the post, carriers (AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint) are also out of launch-delivery.
So what if you really want an iPhone 5 on launch day? You’ll want to head over to a retail location on September 21st. Remember, Apple store open at 8 a.m, but you’ll want to get there early, as a lot of people will be camping out.
